Locations

We used several different locations in our piece. Firstly the Playground, we used this because it has strong links to childhood and was a normal place for a child to be, it also allowed us an opportunity to try some techniques similar to Arlington Road whereby we made innocent familiar settings look dangerous and sinister. We chose to use Mote park as it is close to our school and easy to get to for evgeryone, we also decided that we would film early in the morning so there would not be children already there as we thought an empty park would look much more creepy.

We also used Mote park for the chase scene, the variety of roads and woods meant it was easy to get the shots we had storyboarded. The woods were also only a short walk from the park which meant the continuity would be good as we could show the child running from one location to another.

For the scene in the house we chose to use my sister's house as she has a step daughter of roughly the same age (6-7) so the bedroom fitted with the character of the young girl. The girls bedroom was also just down the hall from the adults bedroom where we would shoot the mother waking up so this also allowed for good continuity.
