Dressing gown/pyjamas and slippers

Light, pastel colours. This shows her as a non-threatening, caring character so that the audience could sympathize with her.

 

Daughter

Denim jacket, light dress.

Again the light colours are to highlight the innocence of this character.  The clothes were typical child like clothes which would allow parents in the audience to be more scared by the situation as they may think of their own child.
